– Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with existing and prospective customers to attain orders

–  Travel reimbursement as per government mileage allowance or company vehicle provided

– Communicate with customers via phone/email and in person

– Display or demonstrate products, using presentation material to assist customers in their decisions

– Write and follow up on quotations in an effort to secure orders

– Conduct telemarketing to potential clients in an effort to secure new business opportunities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

– Valid driver’s license and fully insured vehicle. Candidate must have good driving record and submit to     criminal background check as clearance is required for access to various government bases and shipyards

– Preferably located in Southern California area

– Have enthusiastic, outgoing, competitive and self-motivated attributes

– Be a self-starter with the ability to prospect and create client lists through telemarketing, face-to- face selling, and internet research

– Experience in industrial equipment sales/rentals or selling in a commercial/ industrial setting is a major plus

-Candidate must have good driving record and no criminal record. Technician will be required at times to service equipment in local government facilities. No applicant with a felony conviction will be considered due to the access requirement

-Experience with electrical systems and controls is not required but is preferred.  Technician will be working with AC and DC powered componentry (120v-480v)

– Knowledge of diesel engines, ability to change oil, fuel filters, fuel lines and adjust PTO’s., hydraulic systems is preferred

-Ability to operate forklifts and shop equipment is preferred

-Basic working knowledge of compressed air and pneumatic systems is preferred

-Basic welding skill is useful to position

-Basic working knowledge of power drive systems is desirable (Electric and Diesel)

-CDL license is of value to the position

-Capacity to wear a half mask 2 cartridge respirator and be fit tested for such,     facial hair may need to be shaven for proper respirator use will be required at times

-Ability to lift up to 50lbs at times is required

Candidate will be compensated based on having a certain level of knowledge of the above criteria and/ or an ability to learn these skills from operations management.  Above all else candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn the business.

-Basic knowledge of diesel engines, ability to change oil, fuel filters, fuel lines and adjust PTO’s., hydraulic systems is preferred

-Overnight travel will be required. Position allows for use of company vehicle and expense account

-Basic working knowledge of compressed air and pneumatic systems is preferred

-Basic working knowledge of power drive systems is desirable (Electric and Diesel)
