Rapid Prep is a growing national company that services the abrasive blasting industry and is looking for the following skills and qualifications:

Position will be located at Rapid Prep’s Suffolk, VA office.

-Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of office skills experience.

-Position offers the opportunity for advancement with Rapid Prep given the firm’s growth trajectory.

-Sales support for Mid-Atlantic sales reps

-Assist with orders, rental contracts certificate of insurance, interact with customers regarding delivery & pick up schedules, book field service and freight. Execute orders as they are received at the store or generated and support Outside Sales efforts as required.

-Candidate must have thorough knowledge of computer systems. Experience with the primary aspects of Windows operating systems. (i.e. Excel, Word, PDF) as well as Cloud based data management systems.

-Candidate must be outgoing and able to communicate efficiently on phone and email systems with vendors and customers. Basic negotiation skills are beneficial.

-Candidate must be able to demonstrate proficient organizational skills and be able to learn and interact with company computer systems. Attention to detail is a must for this position.

-A working knowledge of mechanical parts is of benefit but not a prerequisite for the position.  Training of the product line to be provided.

– Must be able to lift or move up to 25 LB. packages periodically.

Candidate will be compensated based on having a certain level of knowledge of the above criteria and/ or an ability to learn these skills from operations. This is a salary position with a bonus structure based on the performance of the store branch and the entire company. Above all else candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn the business.

Rapid Prep is a growing national company that services the abrasive blasting industry and is looking for the following skills and qualifications:

-Candidate must have good driving record and no criminal record. Technician will be required at times to service equipment in local government facilities. No applicant with a felony conviction will be considered due to the access requirement

-Basic troubleshooting of 12 VDC, 120-460 VAC electrical systems and controls is required

-Basic knowledge of diesel engines, ability to change oil, fuel filters, fuel lines and adjust PTO’s., hydraulic systems is preferred

-Overnight travel will be required. Position allows for use of company vehicle and expense account

-Basic working knowledge of compressed air and pneumatic systems is preferred

-Basic working knowledge of power drive systems is desirable (Electric and Diesel)

-Capacity to wear a half mask 2 cartridge respirator and be fit tested for such, facial hair may need to be shaven for proper respirator use will be required at times

-Ability to lift up to 50lbs at times is required

-Experience with electrical systems and controls is not required but is preferred.  Technician will be working with AC and DC powered componentry (120v-480v)

– Knowledge of diesel engines, ability to change oil, fuel filters, fuel lines and adjust PTO’s., hydraulic systems is preferred

-Ability to operate forklifts and shop equipment is preferred

-Basic working knowledge of compressed air and pneumatic systems is preferred

-Basic welding skill is useful to position

-Basic working knowledge of power drive systems is desirable (Electric and Diesel)

-CDL license is of value to the position

-Capacity to wear a half mask 2 cartridge respirator and be fit tested for such,     facial hair may need to be shaven for proper respirator use will be required at times

-Ability to lift up to 50lbs at times is required
